The end user of this data should be advised that the aerial detection surveys were undertaken in single-engine high-wing aircraft flying 1,000 to 2,000 feet above ground level, sometimes in hazy or turbulent conditions. Since surveyors visually scan areas up to two miles in either direction of the aircraft, mortality on the opposing side of ridges or peaks may be obscured. Due to these data collection limitations polygon boundaries may not be exact representations of features found on the ground. Caution is advised when attempting to overlay ADS data with other raster or aerial photography features. See Use Constraints for more information.
