This effort also establishes a baseline as future surveys track trends in species abundance indices. This dataset is bird species observation information collected at CDFW’s Carrizo Plain Ecological Reserve between April and May of 2016. The data collection protocol largely followed the National Protocol Framework for the Inventory and Monitoring of Landbirds Using Point Counts (Knutsen et al. 2016) and the PRBO Point Count Methodology (Ballard et al. 2003). Data was collected by Levi Souza, Karen Converse, Brian Acord, Krysta Rogers, and Julie Horenstein.
