<descript>
These data are the characteristics of the individual live trees found in 0.05-ha circular plot habitat samples taken in 2005 at sample points at Spears and Didion Ranches, Placer County, California. There were three 0.05-ha circular habitat sampling plots at each of the 15 sample points. To be counted, trees had to be > 4" dbh and within the 12.6 m radius plot. If a plot number is missing, then there were no trees at the sample points and vegetation plots.
<purpose>These data are intended to represent baseline data for wildlife communities and habitat conditions in these parks. They can be used to assess and monitor the park's ecological viability and sustainability.</purpose>

<attracc>
<attraccr>It is assumed that the locations of the survey points are accurate with regard to the actual locations on the ground where the surveys were done. The spatial accuracy of the 100-m count circle radius is presumably accurate to +- 5 m because boundaries were measured with laser rangefinders and marked in the field with flagging. It is assumed that these species were accurately identified by species, accurately measured and their crown position accurately assessed.</attraccr>
</attracc>
<complete>All vegetation-habitat sampling occurred at 3-circular plots around each of the 15 sample points in the project area. During data compilation the coordinates of the centers of 4-plots (3-2, 11-3, 12-3, and 14-1) were lost and are not shown when this data layer is displayed. However, the attribute data for these points exist in the database and are available for analysis if the exact point is not required (Contact the Data Distributor). See the linked referenced protocols and data sheet in these metadata to evaluate the how the missing coordinates might affect any further analysis of these data</complete>
