This dataset represents the locations of all ongoing and completed Steelhead Report Card projects.
This dataset was created to capture the locations of all Steelhead Report Card projects in the State of California. The dataset enables geographic analyses of projects, aiding analysis of past trends and planning of future restoration work.

Project locations are digitized in as much detail as possible based on the contractors' maps. The accuracy of the data depends, on a great extent, on the quality of the contractors' maps. Some projects without a map were digitized based on the written description of the project. These project locations have been synthesized into representative centerpoint locations.
Shapefiles were originally digitized as instream points, instream lines, non-stream points, non-stream lines, and polygons. The type of shapefile depends on how the project locations were depicted in the project files.
