The library layer is a polygon coverage which shows the regional boundaries, as of 1990, and gives the region name. DTSC regions are large areas which are based on aggregations of counties, for the most part. The split in Los Angeles County between Regions 3 and 4 is State Route 91. There are 4 regions in the State.

DATA QUALITY ASSESSMENT:
The following are subjective comments regarding this data.
The layer is based on Teale's county lines as of 1990 and is
complete; 4 districts are included. The county lines
were digitized from 1:100,000 source material so the
accuracy of the linework is inherited from that layer.
Non-county linework was digitized from a variety of sources
and is of fair-to-good accuracy. The only attribute for this
layer is the region number.
