On June 24, 2010, all inclusive data was verified current as per California State Lands Commission, Mineral Resources Management Division. The table listed below and dated 1999 provides information for 33 platforms one of which (Belmont Island) has since been decommission and dismantled and the remaining 32 are active. OSPR's original dataset did not include Distance Offshore (NM), Water Depth (feet) or Installed. OSPR staff have updated the data to reflect these fields. This table was provided by the State Lands Commission listing the names of the oil production facilities. Platforms were digitized from SPOT satellite imagery. Table 1. 8-15-07 Received an Excel file of platforms from Ed Boyes, southern California oil spill prevention specialist. Added the man-made islands to the Platforms2002 data.The islands are Grissom, White, Chaffee and Freeman. Reprojected the data to Teale Albers NAD 83 and calculated the LATDD83 and LONDD83 coordinates using the calculate geometry function of ArcMap 9.2. ML
